Frequently Asked Questions
What is my password, and how do I change/reset it?
Upon admission, students will receive an email to the personal email address used in the application with a link to a First-Time User Setup process. The First Time User Setup will walk you through creating a new password, and setting up recovery information for recovery and future password resets.
What are the CCC password guidelines?
- Passwords cannot contain the user's account name or parts of the user's full name that exceed two consecutive characters.
- Passwords must be at least 10 characters in length
- Passwords must contain at least one character from the three following categories:
1. English uppercase alphabet characters (A-Z), 2. English lowercase alphabet characters (a-z), 3. Base 10 digits (0-9), 4. Special Character (@#$&, etc.)

What is my Comet ID, and how do I find it?
The Comet ID is your username here at CCC. This will be used to sign in to all CCC technology services and the computers online and on campus. The Comet ID is five characters, starting with your initials (example: AB123).
Finding your CometID
Upon admission, students will receive an email to the personal email address used in the application with their Comet ID and a link to a First-Time User Setup process.
If you do not have an admissions email with your Comet ID, you can use your @ID to locate it. If you do not have your @ID, or if your account is newer than 48 business hours, you will not be able to find your Comet ID and must contact the ITS Help Desk. The Comet ID is generated by an automatic system, and takes time to build the account. If you have your @ID, and your account is old enough, please visit our Comet ID Finder.

What is my @ID, and how do I find it?
@IDs are created once your application is finished and accepted at the college. The @ID is used for registration, financial aid, and student affairs needs.
Finding your @ID
To find your @ID, log into myCCC using your Comet ID, choose "Registration", then "Check your Registration Status". Your name and @ID will be displayed at the top right of the screen. For more information on myCCC and how to log in, view our FAQ below.

What is myCCC, and how do I use it?
myCCC is our student portal that provides access to a variety of online services; including Canvas, Student Email, Library, Tutoring, Self Service Banner (Degree progress, Transcripts, Registration, Financial Aid, Pay your Bill, Personal information), and more.
You can login to myCCC with your CometID and password by using the "myCCC" linking on the homepage or directly by going to http://myccc.cjpk.net. If you experience any issues with the myCCC portal or have questions, please contact the ITS Help Desk.
What is Canvas, and how do I use it?
Canvas is CCC's learning management system (LMS) used by instructors to post grades, course syllabi, assignments, quizzes, and course announcements. Students that have registered early will have access to their canvas course(s) the Friday before the start of term. New students may not have a Canvas account until their first course starts.

What is Zoom, and how do I use it?
Zoom is an online conferencing tool utilized primarily for remote delivery of online and hybrid courses to students. Zoom allows instructors to conduct class online through a desktop client or a mobile app using a camera and microphone. Students may join a Zoom class anywhere with their smartphone, tablet, or computer with an active Internet connection.

What is Office 365, and how do I use it?
Office 365 is an online version of the Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. CCC offers Office 365 to all active Students and Employees.
Most of the products can be used directly in a browser and do not require installation.

What Software and Services does the Computer Labs offer?
Coconino Community College computer labs have many of your needed applications available on Windows 10 and 11. The campus computers are free to use for active registered students with a Comet ID.
CCC has three Computer Lab locations: Lone Tree Campus, Fourth Street, and the Page Center.
- Applications: The Computer Labs have all the required applications for your courses. This includes Adobe CC, Microsoft Office, MatLab, R (math) and more.
- Printing: Printing is available for students in the Computer Labs and the Student Learning Center. Printing is only available in black and white. Students are allotted 100 pages per semester and can purchase more from Student Accounts for $0.10/page.
- Scanning: Scanners with instructions are available on multiple computers in the Computer Labs.
- Copying: Copiers can be found near the computer labs and other areas on the campus. There are fees associated with copying.
- USB drives are available for lending upon request at the Help Desk. Collateral required. (Student ID/Keys)
- Power strips with USB are available in the back of the computer labs for students with laptops or mobile devices.
- Specialty Computer Pods are found in the Computer Labs on the Lone Tree and Fourth Street campuses. These specialty computers include Adobe CC, MatLab, and additional accessibility software.
What is PaperCut, and how do I use it?
PaperCut is a print management solution designed to reduce printer waste here at CCC. Students start each semester with 100 free pages. If a student runs out of PaperCut pages, they will need to visit Student Accounts (Cashier) to purchase more. Current pricing is 10 cents per page, with a minimum purchase of $5 (50 pages) Unused pages do not roll over to new semesters.
When you sign in to a computer on campus, you will see a small window appear in the top right of the screen indicating how many PaperCut pages you have left. Every time you print, this number will go down. Printing tracks the number of pages you print by pages that use toner. Double-sided pages count as two. Triple-sided pages count as four.
On the PaperCut window showing your prints, you can use the "Details..." button for more information. You will be asked to sign in with your Comet ID and password. Here you can view your trends and analysis information that is associated with your account.
What is my Student Email, and how do I use it?
Coconino Community College uses Google's email service, Gmail, for students. An email account is automatically created for all students upon registration. Your student email is the main point of contact for all CCC emails - including notices, announcements, outages, or events. With your student email, you will have access to all Google Workspace services. Your student email follows the template of
You can access Gmail using the myCCC Portal. Within the portal, you can choose Gmail in the QuickLaunch or view the top messages in the Gmail Dashboard.

How do I forward my Student Email?
Information Technology Services does not recommend students set automated forwarding of College email to a personal email address, however (subject to Procedure 140-09), through your Student email account, you can choose to forward all of your new messages to another email address, or only forward certain types of messages. For steps on how to forward your email, follow the instructions on Google's Support Site.
How do I connect to CCC's wireless network/What's the Wi-Fi Password?
Coconino Community College offers all students and employees the ability to connect to the CCC Wi-Fi network. To connect to CCC's wireless network, please follow the steps outlined below.
- Open your system's Wireless Network Connection. This is generally represented by a wireless icon on your system's task bar, or the Wi-Fi logo on cellphones.
- From the list of Wi-Fi Network's available, select either "CCC-Access" or "CCC-Student" from the list.
- Type in the password available on the Wi-Fi Information page.
- You are now connected!
By using the network, all users agree to the CCC Acceptable Use of Technology Policy and CCC Student Code of Conduct. Misuse of the CCC Computer Networks may result in disciplinary actions stated in the Acceptable Use of Technology Policy (140-01) and/or the CCC Student Code of Conduct. All use of CCC Computer Networks is monitored and logged.

How do I get student/employee technology discounts?
Many companies offer college and university students/employees discounts for technology-related purchases.

How do I request my Official Transcripts?
To order your official transcripts, follow the steps listed on the How to Order a Transcript Online page.
Coconino Community College has partnered with Parchment to make official electronic transcripts available to students and alumni. Parchment offers transcripts now in three different formats: transcript sent electronically, hard copy printed and mailed, and hard copy printed for pickup. Transcript are $10.00 each. Additional fees may be incurred for rush, priority mailing, or international orders.
What devices/equipment are available for checkout for Faculty & Staff?
The Lone Tree Help Desk offers Windows Laptops available for current Faculty & Staff as temporary checkouts.
All equipment is on a limited first-come, first served basis. Devices/Equipment are available for a maximum of two-week intervals.
